Not a Lead Vendor
About
Why this publication exists
People who buy leads are often asked to make decisions with incomplete information. Pricing can be difficult to compare, quality can mean different things to different sellers, and the mechanics behind a lead are not always visible to the buyer.
This publication is being built to explain those mechanics in practical language. Its initial focus is the United States, with particular attention to insurance agents, small business owners, and people learning how the lead industry works.
Editorial approach
Articles should separate useful facts from sales language, explain important limitations, and make commercial relationships clear. The goal is not to make every topic sound simple. It is to make the real tradeoffs understandable.
- Use plain language without removing important detail.
- Explain how a claim affects the lead buyer in practice.
- Distinguish reported facts, analysis, and opinion.
- Identify sponsorships, affiliate relationships, or other commercial interests where they appear.
- Update material when meaningful industry changes make it incomplete.
Commercial disclosures
Advertising, sponsorships, affiliate relationships, and other commercial interests should be identified clearly and kept visually distinct from editorial content.
